The big picture
The Center for Biotechnology will be housed by San Jacinto College’s Generation Park Campus, which is located at 13455 Lockwood Road, Houston. The center will offer “comprehensive, hands-on training with realistic good manufacturing practices simulated environments,” according to the release.
SJC has partnered with the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training to offer students NIBRT-licensed training and with McCord Development—the owner of Generation Park—for the biotechnology center, according to the release.

In January, SJC’s biotechnology program will launch at the college system’s South Campus in southeast Houston.The program will provide a 90-hour hybrid program for biomanufacturing professional onboarding certificates, according to the release.
At The Center for Biotechnology, an associate degree of applied science in biomanufacturing technology will be offered as well as “shorter credentials for post-graduates,” according to the release.
